The Story Behind the Artwork – Birak Nights

Birak is a season of warm evenings, gentle breezes and renewal. As the sun sets, Country comes alive beneath the stars, carrying the stories of our Ancestors through the night.

The gathering circles represent family, connection and shared moments, while the pathways remind us that every journey is guided by Country. The soft colours reflect the calm that comes when we slow down, listen and reconnect with the land around us.

"When the night settles over Country, the stories don't end—they begin to whisper."
